Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 sheets frozen puffed pastry, thawed 4 small Golden Delicious apples, cored, peeled and thinly sliced 4 tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 2 tbsp. butter vanilla ice cream
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Roll out 1 puff pastry sheet on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thick. Cut out two 6 inch diameter rounds. Repeat with second puff pastry sheet. Space dough rounds evenly on a large sheet pan. Overlap apple slices in concentric circles on top of dough rounds. Sprinkle 1 tbsp. sugar and a pinch of cinnamon over the top of each tart. Dot each with 1/2 tbsp. butter. Bake about 25 minutes until apples are tender and dough is puffed and golden. Serve tarts warm with ice cream.
Makes 4 tarts.
