Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
4 pork chops, each about 1/2 inch thick 2 tbsp. all purpose flour 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 tsp. minced garlic 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 1/2 tsp. dried thyme 1 cup beer 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley leaves
Directions
Dust both sides of pork chops with flour. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and brown on both sides. Transfer pork to a plate. Add onion and garlic to skillet and cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add mushrooms and thyme and cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Return chops to skillet. Add beer and heat to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour. Transfer pork chops to a platter and tent with foil. Skim fat from sauce in skillet. Stir in salt, pepper and parsley. Uncover pork chops, spoon sauce over and serve.
Serves 4.
