Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
6 to 7 pounds pork baby back ribs
Sauce: 29 ounce can tomato sauce 2 cups white vinegar 10 ounces canned pineapple tidbits 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce 2 tbsp. soy sauce 2 tbsp. honey 2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. dried onion 1 tsp. garlic salt 1/2 tsp. chili powder 2 tbsp. cornstarch 2 tbsp. water
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Arrange ribs in a single layer in a shallow baking pan. Cover with foil and bake until tender, about 1 hour. Reduce oven to 350 degrees. Pour off fat from roasting pan. Brush ribs with sauce and bake 15 minutes, basting frequently. Turn ribs over, brush with sauce and bake 30 minutes, basting frequently.
For sauce: Stir together tomato sauce, vinegar, pineapple, sugars, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, worcestershire, dried onion, garlic salt and chili powder in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Simmer 30 minutes. Stir together cornstarch and water. Stir into sauce and simmer 5 minutes.
Serves 6.
