Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 large egg 1 cup milk 1 cup all purpose flour 1 tsp. onion powder 1 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 cups crushed Captain Crunch cereal 1 1/2 cups crushed cornflakes 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast tenders vegetable oil for frying
Directions
Whisk together egg and milk in a medium bowl. Stir together flour, onion powder, garlic powder and pepper in a large bowl. In a separate bowl combine Captain Crunch and cornflakes. Roll chicken in flour mixture to coat, shaking off excess. Dip into egg to coat then roll in cereal until well coated. Heat oil to 325 degrees in a large deep skillet. Add coated chicken and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 3 to 5 minutes. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.
Serves 2 to 4.
