Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 tbsp. minced shallot 1 tbsp. red wine vinegar 3 1/2 tsp. cracked black pepper 2 cups beef broth 1 cup chicken broth 2 beef tenderloin steaks, about 8 ounces each 1/2 tsp. dry thyme 1/2 tsp. dry rosemary, crumbled 1/2 tsp. dry marjoram, crumbled 1/4 cup olive oil 1 tbsp. jack Daniels whiskey
Directions
Boil shallot, vinegar and 1 1/2 tsp. pepper until liquid is almost evaporated. Add both broths and reduce to 1/2 cup. Rub steaks with remaining pepper and herbs on both sides. Pour oil over and turn to coat. Cover and let stand 1 hour at room temperature. Preheat grill. Remove steak from marinade and grill to desired doneness. Bring sauce to a boil in a skillet. Stir in whiskey. Serve sauce over steak.
Serves 2.
