Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Crust: 3 cups all purpose flour 3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened 1/3 cup sugar 1/2 tsp. salt
Filling: 4 large eggs, beaten to blend 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup 3 tbsp. melted butter or margarine 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Directions
For Crust: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 15x10 inch jelly roll pan. Beat together flour, butter, sugar and salt in a large bowl until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake 20 minutes until lightly browned.
For Filling: Mix together eggs, sugar, corn syrup, melted butter or margarine and vanilla in a large bowl. Stir in pecans. Pour filling over prepared crust and bake 25 minutes until set. Cool completely and cut into squares.
Makes about 60 squares.
