1 1/3 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda pinch salt 2/3 cup chunky peanut butter 4 tbsp. softened butter 1 cup brown sugar 2 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line the inside of a 9 inch square baking pan with foil. Butter foil. Sift together the flour, baking powder and baking soda in a medium bowl. Beat together the peanut butter, butter and brown sugar in a large bowl. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour mixture until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake brownies 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs. Transfer the pan to a rack and cool brownies 15 minutes. Remove the brownies from the pan, using the foil as an aid. Transfer to a rack and cool brownies completely. Cut into squares.
Makes about 12 brownies.
