Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Brownies: 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 cup sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 large eggs 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour 1/8 tsp. baking soda 3/4 cup chocolate syrup 1 cup peanut butter baking chips
Peanut Butter frosting: 1/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup evaporated milk 2 tbsp. butter 1 cup peanut butter baking chips 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
For Brownies: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 inch baking pan. Cream together butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Add eggs and mix well. Stir together flour and baking soda in a small bowl. Beat in flour mixture alternately with chocolate syrup. Stir in peanut butter chips. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake 30 to 35 minutes. Transfer pan to a rack and cool brownies completely.
For Frosting: Combine sugar, evaporated milk and butter in a small saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in peanut butter chips until melted. Stir in vanilla. Beat frosting until spreadable. Frost cooled brownies and cut into squares.
Makes about 24 brownies.
