Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup margarine 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 1/2 cup sugar+additional for rolling 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 large egg 2 tbsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla extract chocolate stars
Directions
Sift together flour and baking soda in a small bowl. Stir in salt. Cream together margarine and peanut butter. Gradually add both sugars. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Beat well. Gradually add flour mixture. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Scoop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls. Shape into balls. Roll in sugar. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes. Remove from oven. Place chocolate stars on top of cookies and press down until cookies crack around edges. Bake 2 to 5 minutes longer.
Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
