Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 1/2 cups salted peanuts 1 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup light corn syrup 1/3 cup water 1 Tsp. baking soda, sifted 1 Tbsp. butter 1/2 Tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
Combine sugar, corn syrup and water in saucepan. Cook, stirring until mixture comes to a boil. Boil to 300 degrees on a candy thermometer. Stir in baking soda. Stir in peanuts, butter and vanilla. Spread onto 2 buttered baking sheets. Let cool and break into pieces. Store in a tightly covered tin container.
Makes approx. 1 pound.
