Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Topping: 1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup cold butter, diced
Filling: 2 1/2 to 3 pounds fresh plums, pitted and cut into wedges 4 medium peaches, peeled, pitted and cut into wedges 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice pinch salt
Directions
For Topping: Blend together flour and brown sugar in a food processor. With processor running, add diced butter and blend until moist crumbs form. Transfer topping to a medium bowl, cover and refrigerate while preparing filling.
For Filling: Stir together plums, peaches, sugar, flour, lemon juice and salt in a large bowl. Let stand 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter an 8x8 inch baking dish. Spoon filling into the prepared dish. Sprinkle topping evenly over filling. Bake about 45 minutes until fruit is tender and topping is crisp and browned. Serve warm.
Serves 6.
