Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 1/2 pounds red potatoes, halved 2 1/2 pounds russet potatoes. quartered 10 ounces diced butter 1 1/4 cups prepared horseradish, drained 2 tbsp. heavy or whipping cream 2 1/2 tbsp. kosher salt 1 1/2 tbsp. pepper
Directions
Combine potatoes in a large pot with water to cover. Heat potatoes to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are very tender. Drain well. Transfer cooked potatoes to a large bowl. Add butter, horseradish, cream, salt and pepper. Mash until potatoes are creamy but still slightly lumpy. Serve hot.
Makes about 10 to 12 cups mashed potatoes.
