Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
6 ounces small shell or bowtie pasta 3 ounces crab meat 6 tbsp. butter 8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms two 1 ounce packages dry newburg sauce mix 3 cups milk 1 1/2 cups water 1/4 cup dry white wine 1/4 cup sliced green onions chopped fresh parsley
Directions
Cook pasta in boiling salted water until just done. Drain well and reserve. Pick through crab, removing any shell pieces. Melt butter in a non-aluminum 3 quart saucepan. Add mushrooms and cook 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Whisk in newburg sauce mixture. Add milk, water and wine. Bring to a boil, whisking. Reduce heat and simmer 5 to 8 minutes, stirring constantly. Add green onions, pasta and crab. Heat through. Portion into bowls and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
Serves 6.
