Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Sauce: 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1/4 cup butter 4 cups milk 2 tsp. chicken bouillon granules
Pasta: 1 pound cooked medium pasta shells 1/4 cup olive oil 12 ounces steamed broccoli florets 2 tsp. minced garlic 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 2 tsp. chopped fresh parsley 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions
For Sauce: Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and cook, stirring, 1 minute. Add milk and bouillon granules and cook, stirring, until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Keep sauce warm while preparing pasta.
For Pasta: Chop half of the broccoli florets into 1/4 inch pieces. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped and whole broccoli florets, garlic, green onions and mushrooms. Cook, stirring, 2 minutes until mushrooms are golden. Stir vegetable mixture and parsley into sauce and mix well. Divide hot pasta between 4 plates and spoon sauce over. Sprinkle with parmesan before serving.
Serves 4.
