Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
4 cups fresh blackberries(about 1 1/2 pounds) 1 cup sugar, divided 1 cup all purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 cup milk 2 tbsp. melted unsalted butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Put blackberries in a 6 cup glass or ceramic deep dish pie plate. Sprinkle 3/4 cup sugar over berries. Sift together flour and baking powder into a medium bowl. Stir in salt and remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Add milk and butter and whisk until smooth. Pour batter over berries. Bake about 40 to 45 minutes until top is golden. Transfer slump to a rack and cool 20 minutes. Serve warm.
Serves 4 to 6.
