Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 1/4 cup milk, divided 1 envelope powdered gelatin 16 ounces cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips 9 ounce prepared graham cracker crust 1 cup coarsely crushed Oreo cookies
Directions
Place 1/4 cup milk in a large bowl. Sprinkle the gelatin over the milk and let stand 2 minutes. Meanwhile, Place the remaining 1 cup milk in a small saucepan. Bring milk to a boil over medium heat. Add hot milk to the bowl and mix about 2 minutes until gelatin is dissolved. Add cream cheese, sugar and vanilla and blend well. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the bottom of the prepared crust. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the chocolate chips. Sprinkle the crushed Oreos evenly over the filling. Refrigerate at least 2 hours until cheesecake is firm. Slice cheesecake with a warm knife.
Makes about 10 servings.
