Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 1/2 pounds ground beef 1/2 cup dry seasoned stuffing mix 2 tbsp. beef broth 1 cup chopped onion 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. beaten egg 3 tbsp. butter 6 slices Mozzarella cheese 12 slices rye bread or 6 hamburger buns, toasted
Directions
Mix together ground beef, stuffing mix, broth, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and egg in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.
Form chilled beef mixture into 6 patties, each about 1 inch thick. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add beef patties and cook 5 minutes. Flip burgers over and cook another 5 minutes or to desired doneness. Top each burger with a slice of Mozzarella. Cook an additional 30 seconds until cheese is melted. Place burgers on bread or buns and serve.
Makes 6 burgers.
