1 1/2 cups chopped onion
1/4 tsp. salt
32 ounces canned refried beans
2 fresh jalapenos, stemmed and chopped
12 ounces grated monterey jack cheese
3/4 cup prepared taco sauce
1/4 cup chopped green onion
1 avocado, pitted, peeled and mashed
1 cup sour cream

Directions
Cut tortillas into wedges and fry in hot oil until crisp. Remove skin from sausage and crumble into a skillet. Add beef and onion and cook until meat is well browned. Drain grease and add salt. Spread beans in a 10x15 baking dish. Top with meat mixture. Sprinkle with jalapenos and grated cheese. Drizzle taco sauce over. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees about 20 to 25 minutes until heated through. Sprinkle with green onion. Mound avocado in center and place dollops of sour cream over. Place fried tortilla wedges around wedges. Serve warm.
