Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 pound ground beef 1 medium onion, peeled and diced 1 medium green bell pepper, stemmed, seeded and diced 17 ounce can cream-style corn 16 ounce can stewed tomatoes two 8 ounce cans tomato sauce 3 tbsp. chili powder 1 tsp. crumbled dry oregano 1 tsp. ground cumin 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 pound elbow macaroni, cooked, drained and cooled 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
Cook beef in a large saucepan until browned. Spoon beef into a medium bowl. Pour off all but 1 tsp. drippings from saucepan. Add onion and bell pepper to pan and cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Return beef to pan. Stir in corn, tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, oregano, cumin, salt, pepper and macaroni. Simmer until heated through and bubbly. Add cheese and stir until melted.
Serves 6 to 8.
