Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 to 1 1/4 pounds top sirloin steak, cut into 3/4 inch cubes 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 pound sliced mushrooms 1 large onion, peeled and thinly sliced 1 tbsp. all purpose flour 1 cup beef broth 1/2 cup dry red wine 1/2 cup sour cream 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet. Season steak with salt and pepper. Add steak to skillet and brown on all sides. Transfer browned steak to large bowl. Add mushrooms and onion to skillet. Cook 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in flour. Add broth and wine and heat to a boil. Boil about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until sauce is thickened. Reduce heat and add steak to pan. Stir in sour cream and paprika. Simmer 3 minutes until steak is heated through. Serve over egg noodles.
Serves 4.
