Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
4 cups cold water 2/3 cup steel-cut oats 2/3 cup wheat flakes 2/3 cup rye flakes 1/8 tsp. salt 2 cups apple juice 1 tbsp. sugar 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon butter honey cream
Directions
Heat water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Stir in oats, wheat flakes, rye flakes and salt. Reduce heat to medium, cover partially and cook 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in apple juice, 1 tbsp. sugar and cinnamon. Cook uncovered, about 5 minutes, until cereal is thick and tender, stirring occasionally. Serve immediately with butter, honey and cream.
Serves 4 to 6.
