Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 refrigerated pie crust 1 large egg white, beaten to blend 3/4 cup plus 1 tsp. sugar 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon 4 cups peeled, thinly sliced apples
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lay pie crust flat on a foil-lined pizza pan. Brush top of crust with half of egg white. Combine 3/4 cup sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Add apples and toss to coat. Spoon apple mixture into the center of pie crust. Spread evenly, leaving a 2 inch border. Fold border up over apples. Brush crust with remaining egg white. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tsp. sugar. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until apples are tender. Cool slightly before serving.
Serves 8.
