Ingredients   (view qty in metric system instead)
2 pounds ground beef
two 16 ounce cans red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
two 15 ounce cans crushed tomatoes with juices
8 ounce can tomato sauce
2 medium onions, peeled and chopped
1 green bell pepper, stemmed, seeded and chopped
2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions
Place beef in a large skillet until browned, breaking up clumps. Drain the fat from the skillet and transfer the beef to a crockpot. Add kidney beans, tomatoes with juices, tomato sauce, onion, green pepper, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Cover and cook 8 hours on Low or 4 hours on High. Divide the chili between bowls. Top each bowl with some Cheddar and serve.

Serves 4 to 6.
