Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. sugar 3/4 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 6 tbsp. cold butter, diced 1 1/2 cups grated Cheddar cheese 1 cup buttermilk
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Butter a large sheet pan. Whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Rub in butter with your fingers until coarse crumbs form. Stir in Cheddar and buttermilk until just combined. Drop 12 mounds of dough onto the prepared pan, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake 18 to 20 minutes until golden. Serve hot.
Makes 12 biscuits.
