Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Filling: 1/2 cup butter, room temperature 1/2 cup sugar 1 large egg, beaten to blend 1 cup all purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 cup milk 2 cups fresh or frozen, thawed blueberries
Topping: 1/4 cup butter, room temperature 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Directions
For Filling: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 9x9 inch baking pan. Cream together butter and sugar in a large bowl, 3 minutes. Add egg and beat 1 minute. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl. Add to batter in 4 additions alternately with milk. Spread evenly in prepared pan and sprinkle berries over top.
For Topping: Cream together butter and sugar in a medium bowl. Add flour and cinnamon and blend until crumbly. Sprinkle over blueberries. Bake about 45 minutes until filling is bubbly and topping is golden brown. Serve immediately if whipped cream if desired.
Serves 6.
