Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1/2 cup butter, room temperature 2 tbsp. sifted powdered sugar plus extra for rolling 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 cup all purpose flour, sifted 1 cup finely ground walnuts or pecans
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter in a large bowl until fluffy. Add 2 tbsp. powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes. Gradually beat in flour. Stir in nuts. Shape tablespoonfuls of dough into 1 inch balls. Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased sheet pan. Bake cookies 15 minutes, turning pan halfway through baking so cookies bake evenly. Transfer cookies to a rack and cool completely. Roll in powdered sugar to coat. Store at room temperature in an airtight container.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
