Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Crust: 1 1/2 cups dry sourdough baking mix 1/2 cup corn meal 1/2 cup water
Filling: 1 pound ground beef 4 ounce can diced green chilies, drained 1.25 ounce envelope taco seasoning 3/4 cup water 16 ounce can refried beans 1 1/2 cups shredded Chedddar cheese 1 cup shredded lettuce 2 medium tomatoes, chopped 1/2 cup chopped green onions
Directions
For Crust: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Stir together baking mix, corn meal and water in a large bowl until a soft dough forms. Pat dough out to a 12 inch circle on an ungreased sheet pan. Pinch up edges to form a 1/2 inch rim. Bake crust 10 minutes.
For Filling: Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium high heat until browned, breaking up clumps. Drain fat from the pan. Stir chilies, taco seasoning and water into ground beef. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer 5 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until thickened. Spread the refried beans evenly over the baked crust. Spoon the beef mixture over beans and sprinkle with Cheddar. Bake pizza 10 minutes. Remove pizza from the oven and top with lettuce, tomatoes and green onions. Cut into wedges and serve.
Serves 6 to 8.
