Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 pound uncooked elbow macaroni 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 cup heavy or whipping cream 8 ounces Mascarpone cheese, room temperature 8 ounces finely grated sharp Cheddar cheese 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions
Bring a large saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook, stirring frequently, until just tender. Drain well and transfer to a large bowl. Combine the butter and cream in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat until butter is melted. Stir butter mixture, Mascarpone, Cheddar, salt and pepper into the macaroni. Mix well until cheeses are melted and combined. Serve immediately.
Serves 6 to 8.
