Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3/4 cup maple or brown sugar 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/4 cup cold butter, diced 9 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced 1/2 cup maple syrup
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together the sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a medium bowl. Cut in cold, diced butter until coarse crumbs form. Place apples in a 2 quart baking dish. Drizzle maple syrup over apples. Sprinkle crumb mixture evenly over top. Bake crisp 30 to 40 minutes until apples are tender and topping is golden. Serve warm.
Serves 6 to 8.
