Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3/4 cup butter, room temperature 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 2 large eggs 2 tbsp. dark rum 2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour 3/4 tsp. baking soda 9 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped into chunks 1 1/2 cups chopped macadamia nuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter the inside of a 13x9 inch baking pan. Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, rum and vanilla. Sift together flour and baking soda and add to batter. Mix on low speed just until blended. Stir in chocolate chunks and macadamia nuts. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake about 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Transfer pan to a rack and cool completely. Cut into bars.
Makes about 2 dozen blondies.
