Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 medium apples, peeled, cored, halved and thinly sliced 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice 2 tbsp. dark brown sugar 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup rolled oats 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/8 tsp. salt 2 tsp. cold butter, diced
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Toss apples with lemon juice and 1 tbsp. brown sugar in a medium bowl. Divide apples between four 1/3 cup ceramic baking dishes. Sprinkle each with 1 tbsp. water. Place dishes on a sheet pan and bake 20 minutes until apples are crisp-tender. Stir together oats, cinnamon, salt and remaining 1 tbsp. brown sugar in a small bowl. Rub in butter with your fingertips until crumbs form. Sprinkle over apples and bake until golden, 25 to 30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes on a rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Serves 4.
