Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
two 15 ounce containers ricotta cheese 4 large egg whites, beaten to blend 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 4 cups tomato pasta sauce, divided 12 cooked lasagna noodles
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together ricotta cheese, egg whites, 1 cup mozzarella and 1/4 cup Parmesan in a large bowl. Spread 1 cup pasta sauce over the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer 4 lasagna noodles over sauce. Spread noodles with 1 cup pasta sauce and half of the ricotta mixture. Repeat layers, ending with 4 remaining noodles and remaining 1 cup sauce. Cover lasagna with foil and bake 1 hour. Uncover and sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella and remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan. Bake lasagna, uncovered, an additional 10 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
Serves 8 to 10.
