12 slices white or wheat bread 3/4 cup creamy style peanut butter 6 tbsp. jelly or jam of your choice 3 large eggs 3/4 cup milk 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. butter
Directions
Spread peanut butter on 1 side of 6 bread slices. Spread jelly or jam on 1 side of the remaining bread slices. Put 1 slice of peanut butter bread and 1 slice jelly bread together to form a sandwich. Repeat with remaining bread slices. Whisk together eggs, milk and salt in a medium bowl. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Dip sandwiches in egg mixture to coat, allowing excess to drip off. Place coated sandwiches in the prepared skillet and cook 3 to 4 minutes per side until browned. Transfer French toast to plates and cut in half diagonally. Serve French toast immediately.
