Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 tbsp. sour cream 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 large eggs 16 ounce package semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt into a medium bowl. Beat butter with vegetable shortening in a large bowl until fluffy. Beat in both sugars, sour cream and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop 1/4 cupfuls of dough onto ungreased sheet pans, spacing 3 inches apart. Flatten dough to 2 1/2 inch rounds with moist fingers. Bake cookies about 14 minutes until golden brown. Cool on pans 5 minutes. Transfer cookies to racks and cool completely.
Makes about 1 1/2 dozen cookies.
