Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 pounds cream cheese, room temperature 2 cups sugar 6 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 cups sour cream
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 10 inch springform pan. Wrap outside of pan tightly with foil. Combine cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl and beat until smooth and fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Add sour cream and beat until well mixed. Pour batter into prepared pan. Place springform into a large roasting pan and add hot water to come a third of the way up sides of springform. Bake cheesecake until edges are golden brown and center is softly set, about 50 to 60 minutes. Remove springform from water bath and discard foil. Cool t room temperature. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Remove springform sides and slice. Cover and refrigerate remaining cheesecake.
Serves 8 to 10.
