Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Jerk Sauce: 1 1/2 cups chopped green onions 1 tsp. crumbled dried thyme 2 medium jalapeno chilies, seeded and chopped 1 clove garlic, chopped 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup soy sauce 1 tsp. ground allspice
six 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick ground beef patties 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions
For Sauce: Combine green onions, thyme, jalapenos and garlic in a food processor. Blend until finely chopped. Add brown sugar, oil, soy sauce and allspice. Blend until almost smooth. Place beef patties in a 13x9 inch glass baking dish. Pour 1/2 cup sauce over patties and turn to coat. Let stand 20 minutes. Grill or broil patties to desired doneness, basting occasionally with remaining sauce. Serve on buns with lettuce, tomato and onion slices if desired.
Serves 6.
