Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 hoagie buns, halved lengthwise 1 pound pork tenderloin 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. dry basil 1/2 tsp. dry oregano pinch thyme 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 cup prepared marinara sauce 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese 1/4 cup sliced peperoncini(optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix together salt, pepper, basil, oregano and thyme. Rub all over pork. Heat oil in skillet. Add pork and sear on all sides. Roast approx. 20 minutes or until meat thermometer reads 155 degrees. Let pork stand 10 minutes. Slice pork into 6 or 8 pieces. Layer pork onto hoagie. Spoon marinara over. Sprinkle with cheese and peperoncini. Bake 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Makes 2 sandwiches.
