Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1/4 pound Italian sausage, casings removed 4 ounces grated cheddar cheese 3/4 cup buttermilk baking mix 3 to 4 tbsp. water
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly coat a sheet pan with nonstick spray. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage and cook until browned, breaking up finely. Drain. Transfer sausage to a medium bowl and cool slightly. Add cheddar, baking mix and water. Mix well until dough forms. Form dough into 1 inch balls and place on prepared pan. Bake about 10 to 12 minutes until cheese is melted and puffs are light gold. Serve immediately.
Makes about 2 dozen puffs.
