Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 medium navel orange, unpeeled, cut into 1/2 inch thick slices 50 to 60 whole cloves 6 cups apple juice or cider 1 cinnamon stick 2 1/4 cups unsweetened pineapple juice 1/4 cup honey 3 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tsp. grated lemon peel 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Directions
Cut orange slices in half. Poke holes in peel with a toothpick. Insert cloves into holes. Bring apple juice or cider and cinnamon stick to a boil in a large saucepan. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in pineapple juice, honey, lemon juice, lemon peel and nutmeg. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Discard cinnamon stick. serve tea garnished with orange slices.
Serves 8 to 10.
