Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Filling: 5 cups peeled, cored, sliced Granny Smith apples 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Topping: 1/3 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 tsp. ground cinnamon pinch salt 1/3 cup cold, diced butter 1 cup quick cooking oats
Directions
For Filling: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease the inside of a 9x13 inch baking pan. Combine apple slices, blueberries, brown sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl. Toss gently to coat. Transfer the filling to the prepared pan and spread evenly.
For Topping: Stir together flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in a medium bowl. Add butter and cut in until crumbly. Stir in oats. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the filling. Bake about 45 minutes until apples are tender and the topping is crisp and golden brown. Serve crisp warm.
Serves 8.
