Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
12 ounces chopped semisweet chocolate 1 cup marshmallow creme 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 2 tsp. instant coffee powder 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 cups sugar 3/4 cup evaporated milk 4 tbsp. butter pinch salt
Directions
Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with buttered foil, leaving a 2 inch overhang. Combine chocolate, marshmallow creme, walnuts, coffee powder and vanilla in a medium bowl. Butter the sides of a large saucepan. In the saucepan combine sugar, milk, butter and salt. Cook 8 to 10 minutes, stirring constantly until coffee dissolves. Boil coffee mixture without stirring until coffee mixture reaches 236 degrees on a candy thermometer. Pour mixture over chocolate and let stand 2 minutes. Stir chocolate until melted and smooth. Scrape fudge into the prepared pan and smooth top. Cover pan and freeze 30 to 40 minutes until firm. Remove fudge from pan using foil overhang. Invert fudge and peel off foil. Cut fudge into squares with a hot knife. Store in a cool place in an airtight container.
Makes about 1 pound fudge.
