Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 ripe Bosc pear, cored, peeled and cubed 1 tbsp. olive oil 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. dried rosemary 1 tsp. poultry seasoning 7 to 7 1/2 pound ham
Directions
Combine the pear, oil, salt, rosemary and poultry seasoning in a food processor. Blend until a paste forms, frequently scraping down sides of bowl. Place the ham in a roasting pan. Spread the pear paste all over the ham, coating well. Let ham stand 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roast ham 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 325 degrees. Roast ham an additional2 1/2 to 3 hours until temperature reaches 165 degrees(if ham start to brown too much, cover loosely with foil). Transfer the ham to a cutting board. Tent loosely with foil and let stand 10 to 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Serves 6 to 8.
