Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3/4 cup butter, diced 3 1/2 ounces chopped unsweetened chocolate 3/4 cup all purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 2/3 cup sugar 3 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 cup toasted chopped walnuts five Heath candy bars, chopped
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a 13x9 inch baking pan. Stir together butter and chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat until melted and smooth. Cool to lukewarm. Whisk together flour, salt and baking soda in a small bowl. Beat together sugar, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl until thick and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in chocolate mixture, then flour mixture. Fold in walnuts. Transfer batter to prepared pan. Bake about 25 to 30 minutes until brownies are puffed and tester comes out almost clean. Sprinkle with chopped Heath bars. Cool in pan. Cut into squares.
Makes about 1 1/2 to 2 dozen brownies.
