Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
8 oz. broad egg noodles 2 Tbs. oil 1 onion, chopped, 1 cup 1 carrot, shredded, 1 cup 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 2 cups milk 2 cups shredded swiss cheese, 8 oz. 1/4 cup honey mustard 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper 1 lb. ham steak, cut into 1/2" pieces
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Coat 2 1/2-quart baking dish with cooking spray. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain. In large pot heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and carrot; cook 2 minutes. Whisk in flour. Remove from heat; gradually whisk in milk. Over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, bring to boil; boil 1 minute. Add 1 1/2 cups cheese, mustard, salt and cayenne; cook, sitrring, just until cheese is melted. Add noodles and ham; toss. Transfer mixture to baking dish; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 25 minutes or until lightly golden and bubbly. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Makes 6 servings.
