Ingredients   (view qty in metric system instead)
Brownies:
12 tbsp. butter, chopped
5 ounces chopped unsweetened chocolate
1 3/4 cups sugar
4 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup all purpose flour

Frosting:
1 tbsp. butter, room temperature
2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 cup milk

Spiders:
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
24 black jelly beans

Directions
For Brownies:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 inch baking pan. Combine the butter and unsweetened chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat. Melt, stirring frequently, until smooth. Remove the pan from the heat and cool chocolate 5 minutes. Mix the sugar into the melted chocolate mixture. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla and flour until combined. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake brownies about 20 to 25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Transfer brownies to a rack and cool completely.

For Frosting:
Beat together butter, peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and milk in a medium bowl until smooth and creamy. Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies. Cut brownies into 24 squares.

For Spiders:
Place chocolate chips in a small saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring until smooth. Transfer the melted chocolate into a small pastry bag fitted with a small plain decorating tip. Pipe the melted chocolate in crisscrossing lines on each brownie to form the spider web. Place 1 jelly bean on 1 side of each web. Pipe 8 chocolate legs on each jelly bean to form spiders. Let brownies stand about 30 minutes until chocolate is set before serving. Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature.

Makes about 24 brownies.
