Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
4 top loin or strip steaks, about 12 ounces each 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/2 cup dry sherry 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 1/4 tsp. dry mustard 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Directions
Place the steaks in a large shallow glass baking dish. Stir together soy sauce, sherry, sugar, ginger, mustard and garlic powder in a small bowl. pour the sherry mixture over the steaks, turning to coat. Cover and refrigerate steaks 4 to 6 hours.
Remove steaks from the refrigerator and let stand 1 hour at room temperature. Prepare grill. Remove the steaks from the marinade and transfer to an oiled grill rack. Reserve marinade. Grill steaks about 5 to 7 minutes per side for medium, basting frequently with reserved marinade.
Serves 4.
