Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3 pounds ground beef 1/2 cup finely grated onion 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/2 cup chili sauce 1 tbsp. molasses 3 drops Tabasco sauce 12 hamburger buns, split and toasted
Directions
Mix together the ground beef and grated onion in a large bowl until well combined. Shape the ground beef mixture into twelve 1 inch thick patties. Place the beef patties in a shallow glass dish. Stir together the soy sauce, chili sauce, molasses and Tabasco in a small bowl. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the beef patties. Turn the patties to coat. Cover and refrigerate patties at least 1 hour.
Prepare grill. Remove the beef patties from the marinade and place on an oiled grill rack. Reserve marinade. Grill burgers about 4 to 8 minutes per side to desired doneness, basting frequently with reserved marinade. Place the grilled burgers on the prepared buns and serve.
Makes 12 burgers.
