Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 tbsp. vegetable oil 2 medium onions, peeled and thinly sliced 2 tsp. dried crumbled thyme 6 tbsp. bourbon 1 cup prepared barbecue sauce four, 1 inch thick, pork loin chops 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions
Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium high heat. Add onion and cook about 5 minutes until crisp-tender, stirring frequently. Add thyme and cook, stirring, 1 minute. Reduce heat and add bourbon. Simmer about 1 minute until bourbon is reduced to a glaze. Stir in barbecue sauce.
Prepare grill. Season both sides of pork chops with salt and pepper. Place chops on the grill. Cover and grill 5 minutes per side. Brush with sauce and continue grilling 10 minutes until chops are cooked through, basting frequently. Serve immediately.
Serves 4.
