Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Topping: 1/4 cup rolled oats, chopped 2 tbsp. dark brown sugar 1 tbsp. all purpose flour pinch salt 1 tbsp. melted butter 2 tbsp. unsweetened apple juice concentrate
Filling: 1 1/4 pounds Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 3 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. unsweetened apple juice concentrate
Directions
For Topping: Stir together oats, brown sugar, flour, salt, butter and apple juice in a medium bowl.
For Filling: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine apple slices, cinnamon, nutmeg and apple juice in a large bowl. Transfer the filling to an 8 inch pie pan. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples. Bake crisp about 20 minutes until apples are tender and top is browned. Serve warm.
Serves 4 to 6.
