Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Topping: 1/4 cup rolled oats, chopped 2 tbsp. dark brown sugar 1 tbsp. all purpose flour pinch salt 1 tbsp. melted butter 2 tsp. frozen, thawed unsweetened apple juice concentrate
Filling: 1 1/4 pounds Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and sliced 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 3 tbsp. frozen, thawed unsweetened apple juice concentrate
Directions
For Topping: Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine oats, sugar, flour and salt in a small bowl. Mix in butter and apple juice concentrate until moistened.
For Filling: Toss together apples, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl. Add apple juice concentrate and toss again. Transfer apple mixture to an 8 inch pie pan and sprinkle with topping. Bake about 20 minutes until apples are tender and topping is browned.
Serves 6.
